Terms of Service

AEGIS is a product of IME Labs (“IME Labs”, “we”, “us”). AEGIS is an adversarial communication training service. You can reach us at hello@imelabs.co.uk.

AEGIS is a live training tool. In a session, an AI system deliberately uses manipulation and persuasion tactics as a declared training exercise — pressure, flattery, false urgency, covert steering, and similar behaviour — so that you can learn to recognise and resist them. This adversarial behaviour is the point of the product, not a malfunction.

By starting a session you consent to interacting with an AI that is intentionally behaving adversarially for training purposes. The debriefs you receive at the end of a session are training feedback designed to help you reflect on the interaction. They are not a professional assessment of you as a person.

Responses, debriefs, scanner analyses, and other outputs are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. They are provided for training and general information only. They are not professional, psychological, medical, legal, security, or financial advice, and must not be relied on as such. Always use your own judgement and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use AEGIS. If you are using AEGIS on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.

Some features are free to use. Paid features are unlocked with a licence key. Our Team tier is offered at £29 per seat, per month, with one seat intended for one named user. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details.

Activating a licence key unlocks paid features in the browser where you activate it. You are responsible for keeping your licence key and account credentials secure and for activity that takes place under them. You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals, and access to paid features continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

You agree not to:

• use AEGIS for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
• attempt to access, extract, or infer other users’ data, sessions, or debriefs;
• probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the platform, or attempt to bypass licensing, rate limits, or security controls, other than as part of the training the platform is designed to provide;
• resell, sublicense, or share access or licence keys beyond the seats you have paid for;
• submit content you are not lawfully entitled to submit (see the Message Scanner section below).

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe puts the service or other users at risk.

The Message Scanner lets you submit text, images, or audio for analysis. You must only submit content that is yours to submit. Do not upload other people’s private communications without a lawful basis to do so. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the scanner complies with applicable privacy and data-protection law.

Content submitted to the scanner is processed to produce your analysis and is not stored by us afterwards. See the Privacy Policy for details of how submissions are handled.

The AEGIS platform, including its scenarios, drills, text, design, and software, is owned by IME Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use AEGIS for its intended training purpose while these terms are in force.

You keep ownership of the content you submit (your messages and any files you upload). You grant us a limited licence to process that content only as needed to operate the service and provide your results, as described in the Privacy Policy.

AEGIS is a training tool provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its outputs will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose. Your use of the service and reliance on its outputs is at your own discretion.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any rights you have as a consumer under UK law that cannot be waived.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, IME Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated outputs. AEGIS is a training tool and should not be treated as a safeguard against real-world manipulation, fraud, or security incidents.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process and why. By using AEGIS you acknowledge that processing.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of AEGIS after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
